We audited the homepages of 35 mobile kids' party businesses in October 2026 — gym, activity, and party buses, game trucks, soft-play and bounce rentals, and character, spa, and petting-zoo operators. 51% (18 of 35) had neither a booking-style call to action nor a booking platform on the homepage; only 29% (10 of 35) showed any dollar price; the median mobile PageSpeed Insights performance score was 56, with just 3 of 33 scoring 90 or higher; and 3 of 35 homepages carried FAQ schema versus 14 of 35 with a local-business schema type. This is a pilot audit: the sample is small and drawn from public parent-guide listings, so read the percentages as directional, not as industry-wide rates.
How was this audit done, and what are its limits?
- Sample: 40 candidate websites for mobile kids' party businesses named in public parent-guide and directory pages (Mommy Poppins for Long Island and the Washington DC area, Tinybeans for Southern California, KidzApp for Ontario, and franchise-brand listings), after removing duplicate brands. 35 homepages were reachable; 5 were not (timeouts, a DNS error, and HTTP 403 and 404 responses).
- Mix: 6 bus-based operators (gym, activity, and party buses), 3 national franchise brands, and the rest other mobile party concepts such as game trucks, soft-play and bounce rentals, and character and spa parties.
- What we checked: one request to each homepage; whether /sitemap.xml and /llms.txt return valid files; and a Google PageSpeed Insights mobile run for each site (Lighthouse lab data with simulated mobile throttling, not real-user data).
- When: October 2026. Detection is automated pattern matching, so a price or booking button that sits inside an image or loads only after the page renders can be missed.
- Limits: homepages only; a small sample; businesses that appear in directories are probably better marketed than average; and the geography skews to New York, Washington DC, Southern California, and Ontario. We do not name or rank individual businesses and did not contact any of them.

What stands out from the results?
- Booking is the gap. 18 of 35 homepages had no booking-style call to action or booking platform, and only 1 of 35 referenced a third-party scheduling tool. A visitor on those sites has to find the contact page and wait for a reply.
- Prices are mostly hidden. Only 10 of 35 homepages showed a dollar amount. Published party prices elsewhere range from about $125 to $520 (see our kids' party bus statistics), so a visible package price is a way to stand out.
- Mobile speed is weak. The median mobile score of 56 and median LCP of 9.1 seconds are lab figures from a throttled test, so real visitors may see better — but 30 of 33 sites were slower than the 2.5-second threshold Google calls good. Check your own real-user data in Search Console.
- Structured data is thin. 14 of 35 had local-business schema and 3 of 35 had FAQ schema. 11 of 35 had a valid llms.txt file — more than we expected — though whether AI systems use that file is unproven, so we report it as a measurement, not a recommendation.
- Social is Facebook and Instagram, not TikTok. 30 of 35 linked to Facebook and 23 of 35 to Instagram, while only 3 of 35 linked to TikTok and 11 of 35 showed video on the homepage.
- Bus operators, in a tiny sample (6 sites): 0 of 6 had local-business schema, 4 of 6 had no booking path, and the median mobile score was 67. Too few to generalize, but consistent with the overall picture.
